Salt free Water Softeners are definitely the best answer. Many States are now prohibiting the use of salt based softeners due to the environmental impact the salt brine discharge has. And, there is no sodium addition to the water in the home. We have tried several types of Salt free softeners in our search for the correct products to recommend.

We have settled on the GMX product line of magnetic water softeners. It is currently the only product we will distribute for several reasons.

We have tested them thoroughly and they work as advertised.

They install in minutes with no pipes to cut.

They never require maintenance or upkeep of any kind.

They are effective at removing existing scale buildup in the pipes of the home, spa or pool.

They are relatively inexpensive compared to other water softening systems, and they never require ongoing expenses of any kind.

Home owners can remove them in minutes and take them with them when they sell their home and relocate.
